P.P.S.
Bob Dylan,
Nobel laureate/poet/artist/singer/writer
of words and songs, – (all that you are),
– this message, – is for You.

A long-time friend, related to me
the interaction he had with You.
I told him I like words, and I could maybe write something that You might see,
but, I would always drag my feet,
or be otherwise, distracted.
Time passed, and I delayed, until,
when I did, try,
I found it was more than just, a little difficult.

So,
just, as I was about to attempt, a second time,…

This – ‘new thing’ – fell into my lap!

“Oh, the Times, they are a-changing!”

But,
it  allows my brain
– to approach your eye, and your brain,
– from a new, direction!

Now, is a moment,
I never thought would occur,
– but one I need to act on –
Mr. Dylan, Sir – please attend these words!

A good while back,
(53 years now to be exact)
– after Woodstock, – in New York City,
at the record studio with Alan Ginsberg,
working on Alan’s album, ‘First Blues’,
there was this guy,
Steven ‘Muruga’ Booker.
Renamed ‘Muruga’, at Woodstock,
– after performing with Tim Hardin,
– by Swami Satchidananda Saraswati.
He, who ‘taps’ into the ‘cosmic pulse'”,
– that’s what I say of Muruga,
– that’s not what his name means,
– but it is, what he is, – a percussionist,
artist, darn fine music-maker.

Anyway, – at that time, Muruga,
was experimenting, with little toy bells.
After one jam bit, Alan, commented to Muruga, something like,
– ‘You have great style, flair, rhythm, beat,
but can you please stop, with those bells?’
– Upon which utterance,
– there was heard, a reply,

“Alan, Alan! Let the boy be!”
“I, like, the bells. Let the bells, be heard!”

Mr. Dylan,
Muruga told me there was a time
later on during that studio session,
that You and he had a duet/one-on-one jam.

If he never got around to tell You
at that time, – let me tell you now,
– You thoroughly – wowed/impressed, him!

(I personally feel, Muruga, is in the ultra,
uber, elite of ‘percussive’ sound artists,
on this planet.)

Yes, Muruga was full
of great energy, good herb,
and nostalgic tales of past glories
when he told me of the little one-on-one ‘share’,
You had with him, as he was gathering his ‘mojo’ before going onstage,
to perform with Ralph Koziarski,
a very talented, wind instrumentalist.
(Together they are like a two-man
Pink Floyd trance sound),
at Dr. Bob’s ‘Psychedelic Healing Shack’,
in Detroit, some years back…

– (Muruga is looking at me, with tears,
in his eyes, as he shares with me,
his memory of You.) – He tells me,…

“Bob Dylan,…
is the best rhythm guitarist in the world.”

Mr. Dylan, Sir,
You are busy and I respect your privacy,
– (and your body of work, your talent,
your gifts, your words, – everything),
– but you owe it to yourself, and to the World,
– to just visit, with Muruga.
– (He has wanted to reach out over the years.)
It would be a very, special thing!

Please make the contact
while you are both in good health.
– You are both, bright lights of this Age,
and deserve a reunion.
– I’d love to hear the results.

Thank you, for your time, your songs,
your words, anthems/ballads,
– you have been a personal motivator.

May You, stay forever young,
– and your songs, always be sung.
Sincerely,
S
